1954 Parker Jotter First Year Edition Black Ribbed Nylon Inverted V Clip Brass Internal Threads. Near Mint / Mint Condition. Nylon is extruded and then pressed like a vinyl record and is inherently not as shinny as the plastic barrels you see on modern or even the Jotters in 1955. Nylon under high magnification has a linear grain pattern to it. Again you won't see this with the naked eye, rather side by side with plastic new ones- Nylon would appear not as shinny and this believed to be a reason (speculation) why Parker put ribs in it to hide that and also make it stronger. These first year pens did not have a steel tip and they began to split along those lines.. This why not may have survived.
No marks, spots or brassing. Crisp color and shiny finish on plastic pens. These pens can be filled. Not filled pens should be noted. NOS pens should be in Mint condition.
