This was a one owner unit since the 70s up until recent when he passed away. He was very particular when it came to his stereo gear and kept this unit in fantastic shape. The cabinet veneer in in amazing condition all round and the unit still has the clear plastic protector behind the knobs and switches to help protect the black printed labeling from wearing off the front face from use.

I have listened to music through this one for the past few days through several speakers and it has a ver nice, warm sound to it. To my ear it sounds to be putting out a strong 30-35w RMS output. All front display bulbs have been replaced on 5-10-22 as well as any following described work. I spent some time getting this unit up to snuff and working smoothly.

The radio tuner has been cleaned/lubricated as well as being calibrated with the front display pointer. A neat feature is that the front station pointer normally stays an orange color when not tuned into a station and then changes to red when a station signal is picked up and tuned in strongly. See 2 attached pictures of this. All switches and pots bass, treble, balance, volume, etc.. Have been cleaned with De-oxit and work perfectly with ZERO scratchiness or dropouts.

I noticed only one quirk when using this receiver. The loudness switch only seems to have effect on the left side A and B speaker outputs, not the right. It will boost the lows and highs on the left, but not the right. The bass and treble adjustments work perfectly on both channels so not an overwhelming issue.

Just wanted to make note of that. Overall, it is a very nice looking, well built, and functioning receiver. It mimics the looks the the Pioneer SX-626/727 range while also matching their performance.

A nice addition to any vintage audio collection who is into the stereo wars/competition of the mid 70s. I attached a picture of the inside circuity while I was inside. It will be packaged very well being bubble wrapped and surrounded by packing peanuts for cushioning.
